Following tremendous support from our plotters and the wider public at the end of 2016, helping us get a maximum grant of £12000 from the Tesco Bags of Help programme, work has now begun to build our Outdoor Classroom/Shelter.
The octagonal larch clad wooden building is fully enclosed and suitable for wheel-chair access and is for community groups like primary school children and visiting groups from Robert Gordon University (RGU) and their clients as well as, of course, all of our plotters at our training sessions and gatherings.
Once the building was completed, work began shortly afterwards, using funds from RGU, to build the necessary paths to provide access for all users of the community garden.
If anyone would like to lend a hand or spend an hour here and there helping out with our Community Garden activities that would be much appreciated.
We are very grateful to TESCO and for the public support from our wider community which helped us gain the full £12000 funding that will help make our site just that little bit more special, welcoming and successful.
